The client faced significant barriers to becoming a truly customer-centric retailer. Customer data was scattered across multiple systems, creating inconsistencies and blocking any unified view of behavior. Identifying at-risk customers and building effective churn mitigation required predictive analytics the business did not yet possess. Measuring retention, lifetime value, and repurchase rates across cohorts was complex, while defining meaningful customer segments demanded sophisticated behavior analysis. On top of this, shifting the organization toward a more data-centric culture required significant change management to align teams behind insight-driven decisions.

A centralized data warehouse was developed to consolidate customer information from every source, enabling unified retail cohort insights. Predictive churn modeling using machine learning informed proactive retention strategies, while advanced cohort analysis segmented customers by purchase history, frequency, and value. A custom analytics dashboard delivered real-time visibility into LTV, repurchase rates, and churn metrics. Finally, cohort insights were integrated with marketing automation tools to enable highly targeted, personalized campaigns that resonated with each customer segment.

The Dashboard in Action

The custom Customer Cohort Analysis dashboard gives the client a single, real-time command center for customer intelligence. Business users can filter by cohort year, customer type, engagement rate, and business unit to surface KPIs such as churn rate, repurchase rates across 30, 60, and 90 days, LTV for active and churned customers, and order volumes. Visualizations track LTV by cohort, repurchase trends, and orders by customer type, helping marketing, retention, and category teams move quickly from insight to action and prioritize the segments that drive the most value.
